Studied: Boston Museum of Fine Arts School; and in Paris under Robert-Fleury and Lefebvre. Exhibited and received awards: Salmagundi Club, several exibitions from 1898 to 1936 (all with prizes); Art Institute of Chicago, 1923; National Arts Club, 1928 & 1933; Allied Artists Association, 1928 & 1934; National Academy of Design, 1934; American Watercolor Society, 1936; among others. Member: National Academy of Design; Salmagundi Club; American Art Association of Paris; Century Club; American Watercolor Society; National Institute of Art and Literature; New York Watercolor Club; Lotos Club; among many others. In the collection of: National Gallery of Art; Toledo Museum of Art; Chicago Art Institute; Montclair Museum, NJ; Omaha Public Library; French Government; National Academy of Design; New York Public Library; Metropolitan Museum of Art; Musee Montpellier, France; among countless others. He was awarded with the Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor. Died July 13, 1946 in NYC. |
