Born in Nunda, New York. Head of art department of Foster School in Clifton Springs, NY. Instructor at Rochester Mechanics Institute (RIT). Wife of Colin Campbell Cooper.

Studied: Wells College; Cooper Union; Art Student’s League with Agnes Abbatt and William Merritt Chase; and in Europe at Academie Delecluse in Paris and with Jacob Kever in Holland.  

Member: NY Watercolor Club; American Watercolor Society; National Academy of Women Painters and Sculptors; NY Society of Painters; president Women’s Art Association of Canada; Philadelphia Watercolor Club.
 
Awards: medal at Columbian Expo., Chicago, 1895; gold at American Art Society, 1902; bronze at St. Louis Expo., 1904.
 
In the collection of: Strong Museum (many paintings), Rochester, NY; Wells College, NY; and University of Rochester, NY

Died July 30, 1920, in Pittsford, NY.
