Painter
of portraits, landscapes, and marine scenes. Also, a lithographer and
engraver. Began his career as a lithographer with W.S. Pendleton in
Boston. Formed a business partnership with Fitz Hugh Lane to publish
lithographs in Boston during 1840s. Well known for paintings of
White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Catskills of New York.
Exhibited: Boston Athenaeum and Boston Art Club.
