Robert Heischman, who holds a graduate degree in fine art from the Ruskin
School of Drawing in Oxford, England, is Full Professor of Art at Rochester
Institute of Technology, where he has taught for 26 years. He has been
Guest Artist for such prestigious organizations as the Chautauqua Institute
and the Brooklyn Museum, among others. In 1991, he was a Guest Scholar
at Shanghai University, and his experiences in China are the inspiration
for much of his work.
He has exhibited his work extensively, including shows at Rochester's Memorial Art Gallery, the Everson Museum, the Ashmolean Museum, and the Albright-Knox Gallery. His work is in numerous public and private collections including: IBM, New York, NY; Kodak; Xerox Corporation; and ATT.
